
Boba Beach

I participated in Global Game Jam 2025 at Kennesaw State University's game jam site. The theme for this game jam was "Bubbles", along with four optional Diversifiers. I primarily worked on the UI for the gameplay order system as well as the Audio Manager and sound implementation.
For Boba Beach, the programming team focused on creating game mechanics that were compatible with the 80s controls diversifier. Using only four keys for movement and one key for selection, the boba making game mechanic emerged. The player can move the barista around the shop to select new items for the orders that appear. Orders are randomly generated with a combination of a drink base, boba, and extras. Each order has a timer for how long the customer will wait for their order. The primary systems in the game were the Boba Orders and Player Movement controls.
